Soon, buttons may appear on the streets of Moscow, using which the townspeople will be able to call a taxi or tow truck. Representatives of both taxi companies and commercial services involved in the movement of cars were sent to the Union of Pedestrians of Russia. The head of the Union of Pedestrians, Vladimir Sokolov, also said that this appeal will be transferred to the transport department of the capital.
Sokolov noted that budget funds for the implementation of this project will not need to be involved, since the companies that proposed this initiative are ready to install an emergency call for their money at the intersections and pedestrian crossings. The transport department said that they were ready to familiarize themselves with the proposal, as soon as it, with a description of all the details, will be given them.
About a month ago, the union of pedestrians proposed to establish in areas where large pedestrian crossings are located, as well as along the roads beyond the Moscow Ring Road, on which there were a call buttons "Ambulance" and police. After, as Sokolov said, their organization received proposals from carrier companies, which said to include additional buttons in this project – for a taxi or tow truck to call a car.
In turn, guests of the capital, forced to move around the city a lot, are perhaps more suitable for car rental.
