An important stage in construction work during repair is the refinement of walls, ceilings or floor. Any surface requires thorough preparation before the final stage of the finish.
Regardless of which surface will be the basis for tiles, wallpaper stickers, painting or other types of finishes, it should be subjected to primer. This building material penetrates well into the structure of the basic surface and, due to its binding and strengthening properties, contributes to its preservation. In the modern construction market there are a huge number of a wide variety of astringent materials. Their choice depends on which surface it is necessary to process – brick or concrete, wood or orgip cardboard.
For primary wall decoration, industrial production of a primer on alkyd, mineral, acrylic and other foundations is carried out. They include substances that form a film on the surface – resins, oils, bitumen or different types of glue. Due to special additives, the soil quickly dries. For the primary decoration of walls, the most suitable are the primer on a alkyd basis. They are also used in re -processing of previously colored walls and wood -steering plates and are most effective when working with complex foundations – fiberglass, plastic, glass or tiles.
To prevent the occurrence of surface damage during operation, soil materials with insulating properties are applicable, for example, protection against moisture or heating. For processing floors, special compounds and paints are made – primers.
The main secret of surface finishing is the correct selection of primer material. So, for surfaces with low porosity, you need to choose a primer with a high level of adhesion. This property consists in the interaction of polymer molecules and particles of dry soil with a solid base on which it is applied. For porous surfaces, it is effective to strengthen the soil of deeper penetration. There are universal soil – putty on the basis of vinilakril latex.
With their help, you can not only level the surface, but also fill out defects, like dents or not deep cracks. These materials are usually used at the final stage of internal or external finishing work. A small secret for old and bulk surfaces is thicker and thicker priming. But for walls on which wallpaper will be glued, the primer can be replaced with putty. In this case, the adhesion of the materials will be carried out using glue applied to the surface under the wallpaper.
For wall decoration, in order to achieve the most correct geometric shapes, putty is enough. For this, the techniques of plastering or gluing sheet materials are used. Only after that the surface can be putty and polished. Shpaklevka are dry building mixtures diluted with water.
There are also pasty putty materials that are used directly to align and complete the finish. An important point when applying putty is the thickness of the layer. Its maximum – 2- 2.5 cm for each layer. Most often, putty compounds based on gypsum and polymers are used for this. These mixtures have a snow -white color, plastic, dry quickly, do not emit unpleasant odors and differ in a high level of adhesion of materials.
Their use is permissible only in dry rooms. For wet air, cement putty. They are also applied well, but the grinding process is available only after completely drying out, after a few days. Thus, the use of soils and putty, helps to improve the quality of finishing work.
