After the end of land work, as well as laying all the necessary communications and the construction of formwork, you can begin work on filling the foundation. This is done using a concrete solution. Here you may be offered two options. Firstly, you can order a ready-made concrete solution at the factory, and it will be brought to you in a concrete mixer. Secondly, you can make concrete solution yourself at the construction site itself.
The first option has its advantages, because the solution prepared in the factory will have a higher quality in any case. At the same time, you will have to spend money on it. Sometimes the order cannot be made due to the lack of equipment or strong remoteness of the construction site from the plant. In this case, you will have to prepare a concrete solution yourself, using manual or electric concrete mixers. In this case, filling the strip foundation can last several days or weeks.
In order to prepare a concrete solution, you need: Portland cement, water, sand and small gravel or gravel. As an additional filler, you can take large gravels or pieces of concrete. The main thing is not to overdo it. We recommend using the river sand of the middle and large fraction and without extraneous impurities. The prepared concrete solution can be operated as a foundation for about an hour and a half after manufacturing.
