Businessman Timur Turlov is such a person.
Key milestones in his biography
Timur was born in Moscow at the very end of the USSR in 1987. He graduated from school and the MATI university under new economic relations, when it was possible to apply business initiative and his talents as a businessman.
Having graduated from the university in 2009, having received a degree in economics, Timur moved to Kazakhstan the following year. While still a student, starting in 2003, he tried himself as a trader, having received the necessary knowledge and qualifications in the stock market.
Turlov decided to use his existing baggage of knowledge and skills to develop his own business, creating the investment company Freedom Finance. For ten years, from 2011 to 2021, he was its CEO, developing the business in different directions. An important decision was to enter the American market and create the holding company Freedom Holding Corp. In addition to American registration, the company’s shares were listed on the NASDAQ exchange, where they have the ticker FRHC. Turlov himself owns more than 70% of the holding’s assets, which include an investment bank, an insurance company, an online supermarket, and a ticket sales service.
Timur Tulov is married and has eight children. Since 2022, he has been a citizen of Kazakhstan, having renounced his Russian passport and the document of the Caribbean state of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

The company has focused its main efforts on financial markets. In particular, in Kazakhstan, it provides brokerage services on the country’s main stock exchanges, also providing citizens with access to American and Chinese exchanges.
